Picks & Contests Rulebook
Last updated: October 26, 2026. These rules cover every vote and pick
module on the Yard: Who You Got (pick'em), Homecoming Heat, and the Fifth
Quarter Wall vote.
- Free entry, always. No purchase, payment, or consideration is ever
required or accepted to enter, vote, or pick.
- No prizes. There are no cash prizes, gift cards, merchandise, or
anything of value awarded for picking, voting, or winning.
- No money ever attaches to an engagement mechanic. Points, streaks,
records, and standings have no value, no transfer, and no cash-out — forever.
They are pride and record only.
- One vote per device where the module says so. Votes are tied to a
device token, not a name. Re-voting from the same device in the same window
does not count twice.
- Scoring source of truth. Pick'em results are scored against the
scoreboard at yards.fyi/scores. Where a score is not yet reported, the
game is not scored until it is — nothing is guessed.
- Determinations are final. The Yard's published results stand. If a
score is corrected after posting, the correction is noted and the standings
follow the corrected record.
- Anti-manipulation. Automated voting, vote brigading, and false
reports are removed from tallies where detected. Reports pause distribution
but never auto-kill a post or stream.
- Void where prohibited. If your jurisdiction prohibits a mechanic
here, that mechanic is void for you there.
- Adults only for accounts; voting is public. Public vote pages stay
account-free to read and vote on. Accounts, when they open, are 18+.
