Why here — the dossier
Every highlight comes from the Yard roster — nothing invented.
Band spotlight
Band founded 1926
Founded with 17 instruments in 1926; the name 'World Famed' was earned, not claimed — Super Bowls I and II, two U.S. presidential inaugurations plus Monrovia, Liberia, the Rose Parade (first HBCU band to lead it, 1980), the Mirage Bowl in Tokyo, a Coke commercial, 'Drumline,' and a Drake lyric shoutout in 2015. Its all-female Orchesis dance line debuted at the 1978 Bayou Classic, and its 'Chocolate Thunder' drumline has played everything from the NBA All-Star halftime to Cartoon Network bumpers. Directors between Jones's presidency (1936) and Hutchinson's arrival (1952) are not verifiable from sources reviewed.

Deadlines are not yet published on the Yard for Grambling State University.
We only post deadlines verified against the school’s own admissions pages — nothing guessed, nothing borrowed. Until then, go straight to the source:
