Superior Sound Marching Band
Band founded 2011
Superior Sound is the sound of Falcon Pride — the band that played every home game at the George Williams Athletic Complex, marched the MLK Mall pep rallies, and carried the 2015 Honda Battle of the Bands vote campaign. Its sousaphone section went by 'D.T.P. — Disturbing The Piece' and battled Elizabeth City State's J.A.W.S. tubas in 2012. The dance line, Sapphire Dream, performs alongside the band at games. The music program also runs a jazz ensemble (under Professor Al Strong) and a choir led by Dr. Eric Poole, director of Choral Activities.
