Band spotlight
Voorhees University Band (Department of Bands)
Voorhees' band program is in a visible rebuild: the school bills its ensemble as 'The NEW Band at Voorhees University' and its Department of Bands hosts an annual Band-A-Rama showcase and competition — the 3rd annual ran April 25, 2026, in the Dawson Center gym with 10 local and regional high school bands. Band videographers (BandTube HD) have covered Voorhees-hosted band events on YouTube. The band is one of the pillars of campus life alongside the choir, which has played Carnegie Hall and the National Cathedral.
