Every highlight comes from the Yard roster — nothing invented.
Band spotlight
Band founded 2018
The Band of Gold is Allen's second marching band — the first went silent in the late 1960s when the original football program died. Reborn in 2018 alongside football, it marched ~100 in its first season and within three years had cracked the Division II HBCU band top-10 rankings. Its signature national moment was the 2024 National Memorial Day Parade down Constitution Avenue. The Allen University FAQ confirms it plainly: 'Does Allen have a marching band? Yes, we do. The Band of Gold.'
