Why here — the dossier
Every highlight comes from the Yard roster — nothing invented.
Band spotlight
The Magnificent Marching Hornet Band was one of the school's signature traditions: skilled choreography, unique uniforms, and a high-step marching style, with percussion carried on straps rather than front-centered carriers so the drummers could dance as they played — pure HBCU style. The band marched the 2018 Mardi Gras parade in the school's final semester. The Concordia Choir was the other pillar of campus arts, performing both classical pieces and African-American gospel hymns.
