Showtime Marching Band
Showtime is a 150-plus member outfit in red, white, and navy — high-step marching, precision drills, the Ooh La La! dance line, the Flashy Flags, and the Dazzlin' Diamonds twirlers. One of its women players went on to become a drum major — among Howard's first female drum majors. Rivalries with Hampton's The Force, NCAT's Blue and Gold, and Morgan State's Magnificent Marching Machine. Every home crowd expects a brand-new show weekly: 'We can't repeat a show here at home, we would probably get booed,' Newson joked in 2010.
