Why here — the dossier
Every highlight comes from the Yard roster — nothing invented.
Band spotlight
The Marching Wolverines were one of America's premier HBCU bands: the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Rose Bowl, a starring role as the rival band in the 2002 film Drumline, and an invitation to the first Honda Battle of the Bands in 2003. Their danceline was Bubblin Brown Sugar, and their sound even backed OutKast's 2006 single 'Morris Brown.' The program died with the accreditation loss in 2002; in December 2025 the college launched a $5 million campaign to bring it back, aiming for a relaunch around the 145th anniversary.
