Blue and Gold Marching Machine

Band founded 1918

The BGMM is known for five high-stepping drum majors, a powerful horn section, the Cold Steel drumline, and the Golden Delight dance team — around 200 members in 12 sections. Their national resume runs from the 2012 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (as lead band) to the 2024 Rose Parade, NFL stadiums, Honda Battle of the Bands wins, and ESPN's Band of the Year. The 1993 BET homecoming show — a helicopter dropping the drum major at the 50 — is Aggie legend. The band also inspired the fictional Atlanta A&T band in the 'Drumline' films.
