Band spotlight

Sound Machine Marching Band

Band founded 1938

The Sound Machine started as a 25-piece band in 1938–39 and became a national name under Richard Jones — Yankee Stadium halftime in 1961 — then again under Jorim Reid, who took it from 32 kids in windsuits to 200 members and the Rose Parade. It plays all home football games and travels to select away games, with audiences over 80,000 at its biggest stages.
