Every highlight comes from the Yard roster — nothing invented.
Band spotlight
Band founded 2025
For 155 years Tougaloo had no band at all — with no football program, there was never a traditional marching band. That changed August 5, 2025, when the college signed a memorandum of understanding and lifetime contract with the Jacktown All Star Band LLC to create the first band in school history, with JAB scholarships giving band members a direct path to a Tougaloo education. The band performs at school events, athletic games, and local parades, and is meant to compete regionally and nationally — the sound of a new tradition being built from scratch.
