Five minutes of HBCU. Ready 6 AM, lands 7 AM — this one’s from the owner, straight no chaser.
I seen the Morehouse-Tuskegee Classic is tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPN+ — one of the oldest rivalries in Black college football. These two always bring the crowds and the bands, so expect a show on the field and in the stands. A classic under the lights is exactly what October football is supposed to be.

Southern homecoming tonight — Jags host Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Mumford
I seen Southern's homecoming goes down tonight at 6 p.m. in A.W. Mumford Stadium, with the Jags hosting Arkansas-Pine Bluff on SWAC TV. The Human Jukebox already got a special halftime show lined up for the milestone classes, so the band gon' do their part — now the Jags need to handle business on the field.

NCCU hosts Campbell tonight under the lights
I seen North Carolina Central is home tonight, hosting Campbell at 6 p.m. on the MEAC Digital Network. The Eagles always pack O'Kelly-Riddick, and the Sound Machine gon' be right there with them. A night game in Durham — that's a good Saturday.
Gulf Coast Challenge today: Jackson State vs Alabama A&M for early SWAC East control
I seen today's headliner is the ninth annual Gulf Coast Challenge — Jackson State against Alabama A&M at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, 4 p.m. CT on SWAC TV. JSU won last year's meeting 57-24 and hasn't lost to the Bulldogs since 2018, but A&M rolls in on a four-game win streak including a 40-21 win at Florida A&M. Winner takes early control of the SWAC East.
Alabama State at Bethune-Cookman today — true freshman QB gets the start
I seen Alabama State opens the meat of its SWAC East schedule today at Bethune-Cookman, 4 p.m. on SWAC TV. The Hornets are still rolling with true freshman Aaron Frye at quarterback after his first career start — starter Andrew Body is in a hard cast on his non-throwing wrist with no timetable to return. Preseason SWAC favorites don't usually hand the keys to a freshman, but Frye put up more than 30 points on the board in his debut.
